The Freitas family, coming from the city of Tejupá/SP, settled in Itaí in 1974 to fulfill a dream. Under the leadership of Mr. Valdomiro Gabriel de Freitas and his wife Aparecida, they brought their 6 children (Evandir, Alvaro, Laudelino, Ademir, Rosangela and Ariovaldo) to the new city with the intention of innovating the city’s commerce. On 12/24/1974 they opened Supermercado Freitas, at Avenida Santo Antônio, and soon it was a success. In 2012, seeking to expand one of the most successful businesses, they decided to open a branch of Freitas Supermarket in Campos de Holambra, which happened on August 02, 2013.
