Makro began operations in the Netherlands in 1968 with the “Pay and Carry” concept and soon expanded to other European countries, in 1972 began operations in South America, in 1988 in Asia. During 1997 it closes its operations in Europe and in 2014 in Asia, to concentrate its expansion in South American countries.
