The company was founded in 1896 by the Pitter family at its original location near Platzl. The original business activity of this perfumery in Salzburg also included the wholesale of soaps, brushes, brooms and detergents. The hotels in Salzburg were supplied right into the Gasteinertal.
With the change to perfumery articles while retaining the range offered for decades, the business developed into one of the leading, long-established perfumeries in Salzburg.
