L’Araignée Rouge, a store that is more than a century old, is an integral part of the Geneva landscape. Originally a renowned drugstore, the shop changed course in 1980. The proliferation of pharmacies and the scarcity of stores dedicated to practical households prompted the owner at the time to reposition himself in the market and, to do so, he eliminated the therapeutic department to concentrate on care and protection articles for the home and to become a so-called “technical” drugstore, while keeping a wellness and bio-cosmetic section.
